Nicolas Winding Refn Wants to Direct Big Screen Adaption of Wonder Woman!

[The Vulture.com] Just when you think we might not hear any more big news regarding Wonder Woman, Danish born Writer, Director, Producer Nicolas Winding Refn reveals at the neo-noir Drive at the Los Angeles Film Festival last night, he wants to direct a big screen adaption of Wonder Woman.

This isn't the first time news has broken about Wonder Woman making to the leap to the big screen. Back in 2005, Joss Whedon was tapped by Warner Brothers to write a movie script which was then scrapped for whatever reason. Eliza Dushku from Buffy fame was rumored to be Wonder Woman.

Now Refn says if he does get to make Wonder Woman, he knows who would take up the lasso (and Joss Whedon/Firefly fans will love this): Christina Hendricks. We all know she would love to portray Wonder Woman as she has repeatedly said so in the past.

Hendricks can currently be seen on Mad Men but before she made it big, she was villain Saffron on Firefly.

Only time will tell if this second leap to the big screen will actually come to fruition or not. But if it did, I'm excited about it.
