Ben Affleck in talks to Direct Justice League Movie

Ben Affleck, Director?

This article scares me, seriously but according to New York Daily News, Ben Affleck is in talks to direct Warner Brother's Justice League movie. I mean, Ben Affleck, the actor.  He's not really known for his directing credentials.

I guess maybe since he played Superman in Hollywoodland that he knows a little something about DC lore but other than that, there's nothing else in his favor. Nothing else that I can see anyway.

Faster than a speeding bullet, Warner Bros. may be ready to go toe-to-toe with Joss Whedon’s “Avengers” sequel by launching its own superhero teamup film helmed by a big-name director.

The studio is in negotiations on getting Ben Affleck to direct “The Justice League,” a future tentpole film that would unite DC Comics’ marquee superheroes, including Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman, 

several sources told Variety.

I feel like Warner Brothers' doesn't understand what they need to do to make a good JLA and Wonder Woman movie. First of all, Affleck doesn't have the directing credentials -- automatically, this makes me very worried.  It would be awesome if Chris Nolan would direct but he's already stated that he would not but it feels like WB are downgrading themselves by not choosing a well-known director.
